Ideematec Gets John Susa As Chief Sales Officer

Trina Solar & SMA Solar’s Ex-Senior Executive John Susa Switches Over To German Solar Tracker Supplier Ideematec As Chief Sales Officer

German solar trackers supplier Ideematec has appointed a new Chief Sales Officer (CSO) in the form of John Susa, charging him with the responsibility of driving the company's global expansion. He will report directly to Ideematec CEO and Co-Founder Mario-Eckl.

In a solar career spanning over 13 years, Susa has worked with China's Trina Solar where he was responsible for strengthening the business in Australia and New Zealand. He moved to German solar PV inverter maker SMA Solar and was till recently the company's global sales and service head, charged with the responsibility of strengthening the company's customer base in Europe and North America.

For SMA Solar, Susa is credited with growing the company's sales in both Asia Pacific and North America, while successfully restructuring and leading business improvement at SMA North America. He was instrumental in establishing SMA subsidiaries in China and Brazil, said Ideematec.

For Ideematec, Susa said, "The product portfolio is remarkable, in particular the new Horizon L-Tec® solar trackers. The company also has a number of impressive flagship reference projects. I'm really looking forward to applying my experience and leveraging my industry contacts to support a shared vision of even stronger business growth and expansion."

Ideematec said it is supplying its trackers for the 800 MW solar power project in Qatar which is to be built by Marubeni and Total consortium using Sungrow inverters for bifacial modules (see China PV News Snippets: Sungrow, Almaden, Wood Mackenzie).
