RENA Technologies GmbH, the German wet chemical surface treatment equipment maker, says it has secured several GWs of production equipment orders for high efficiency solar cells from India and the US.
Orders from both existing and new customers from these fast-growing markets are for TOPCon and silicon heterojunction (HJT) solar cells.
RENA said the orders will feature its Batch and Inline type state-of-the-art machines designed for throughput production of these 2 cell technologies. It secured these large-scale orders for solar machines in 2023.
The German manufacturer had previously announced a successful 2022-23 financial year in India when it received an order volume of more than €20 million from mid- to large-size PV production line projects from the country.
"We are increasingly receiving feedback that our customers aspire to enhance their sustainability efforts as well as trust in a reliable and long-term safe supply chain with technologically leading partners like RENA. Our machines are geared towards sustainability and highest efficiencies while simultaneously offering cost savings," said RENA CEO Peter Schneiderwind.
At the recently concluded TaiyangNews High Efficiency Solar Technologies Conference in December 2023, RENA's Senior R&D Manager Solar & Battery Damian Brunner said the company is getting ready to launch additive solutions comprising customized texture and cluster additives (see TOPCon Part II: High Efficiency Solar Technologies Conference Day 3).
