Solar Steel’s TracSmarT+ lineup includes 1P single-row, 1P dual-row, and compact 2P tracker configurations
The compact TracSmarT+ 2P Compact supports 26 or 32 modules in shorter table formats for space-constrained layouts
All trackers feature SPA-NREL tracking, 3D backtracking, adaptive wind stowing, and weather-response sensors for optimized operation
Gonvarri Solar Steel (Solar Steel) has provided data for 3 models from its TracSmarT+ series. In the latest TaiyangNews Solar Trackers Market Survey, the listing reflects notable changes in the product lineup, with 1 new model added and 1 removed. The 1P series is now listed as TracSmart+ 1V single-row and TracSmart+ 1P dual-row, while the former TracSmart+ 2V has been replaced by the company’s latest 2P tracker, TracSmart+ 2P Compact.
As the name suggests, the TracSmart+ 2P Compact is a 2P tracker and is also very compact. The tracker is offered in 2 sizes – 15.6 × 4.9 × 2.4 m and 20.5 × 4.8 × 2.3 m – accommodating 26 and 32 modules, respectively. While Solar Steel states that both 1P trackers have undergone a design revision in 2025, these upgrades have not been reflected in the listed specifications. TracSmart+ 1P single-row supports 54 or 60 modules, depending on module size. Since the TracSmarT+ 1P dual-row tracker features an additional row, it accommodates twice as many modules – 108 or 120 modules. Both configurations correspond to tracker lengths of 65 or 80 m, and now feature an updated array height range of 1.3 to 1.7 m. The array height for the 2P tracker is given as 2.3 to 2.4 m.
The rest of the specifications for all its products are the same. The modules are either riveted or bolted onto the trackers. The products are fully adaptable to larger module formats. Both 1P trackers now offer a tracking range of ±60°, up from ±55° in the previous survey, while TracSmart+ 2P Compact offers a range of ±55°.
All the products support a string voltage of 1,000 V or 1,500 V, and are driven by a slew drive, either self- or AC-powered by a 24 V DC brushed motor. Equipped with TracSmarT+ SPA-NREL solar tracking, 3D backtracking, and sensors for wind, snow, rain, and radiation, TracSmarT+ trackers intelligently adjust their positioning to maximize energy capture and minimize losses. The company says its products are equipped with adaptive wind stowing to withstand extreme weather conditions like wind, snow, and storms.
The trackers are built with hot-dip galvanized and pre-galvanized steel. A Magnelis coating is applied to protect the components from extreme conditions and corrosion. Communication is facilitated through RS-485/Zigbee. Solar Steel’s products support an operating temperature range of -10°C to +60°C. The system includes PE-stamped structural calculations and drawings, online training, and commissioning. Monitoring is achieved through SCADA, Modbus TCP, and TSS Server, while module cleaning compatibility supports face-to-face and self-cleaning methods. All of the company’s products are IEC 62817, UL 3703, and UL 2703 certified. The TracSmarT+ tracker range is offered with a 10-year warranty for the structure and 5 years for the motor and electronics, with a standard 16-week delivery time and global distribution.
