The Power of Micro-Inverters Enabling New Applications

Solarnative CEO Julian Mattheis Presented At TaiyangNews Event About Its New Microinverter And The Technology's Advantages For Small Distributed Solar Systems

Speaking at the TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Distributed Solar & Storage 2023, Solarnative CEO Julian Mattheis talked about the power of microinverters enabling new applications like balcony/plug-in solar or solar fences. He said its new product can turn every single solar module into an AC panel, giving it a plug-and-play feature, thus making installations easier. The Solarnative microinverters work as an individual inverter in the form of a power stick, controlling each panel independently and can be fitted into the module frame (see Compact Micro-Inverter From Solarnative). This feature helps bring down the cost of an installation. Mattheis also said this can solve the problems installers face which he sees as a major bottleneck for Germany to grow its solar capacity. Solarnative, a German start-up, is currently ramping up its first manufacturing facility close to Frankfurt/Main in Germany. To watch Julian's presentation click on the photo.

The TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Distributed Solar & Storage 2023 took place on 25 April 2023 and had leading stakeholders who discussed distributed solar and storage – including module, inverter, battery storage and full solution suppliers. The speakers also provided updates on the latest product developments for increasing energy independence of residential and commercial buildings.
