ARRAY says its proposed acquisition of AWM will strengthen its BOS product portfolio and broaden its offerings beyond solar trackers and fixed-tilt systems
The deal also opens opportunities for ARRAY in the growing BESS and datacenter markets, said the company
The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2026, pending regulatory approvals and other customary conditions
ARRAY Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire US-based Affordable Wire Management (AWM) in a deal valued at approximately $203 million. The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
The acquisition will add AWM's portfolio of wire management, cable protection, and balance-of-system (BoS) products for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects to ARRAY's offerings. AWM says its proprietary designs are durable and manage heat better, reducing electrical resistance compared to conventional wire management products.
“The acquisition of AWM will further broaden our balance-of-system portfolio and deepen our relevance to our customers as well as create new growth vectors for us in the BESS and datacenter markets,” said ARRAY CEO Kevin G. Hostetler.
According to ARRAY, AWM operates on a capital-light business model, and its trailing 12-month revenue was nearly $60 million. The total deal value represents about 8.8 times AWM’s trailing 12-month EBITDA. It includes a base purchase price of $153 million, with up to $50 million in additional payments tied to continued employment and future financial performance through 2028.
ARRAY said the acquisition is expected to be accretive to its adjusted earnings per share in the first year before synergies.
Following the acquisition, AWM’s financial results will be included in ARRAY’s Legacy segment, and its senior management team is expected to remain with the business.
Scott Rand, CEO and Co-Founder of AWM, said joining ARRAY would allow the company to leverage ARRAY's global reach and customer relationships while continuing to develop solutions for the solar and storage industries.
“Together, we will be able to offer a more complete, integrated solution to our customers across the solar, battery storage, and datacenter markets,” added Hostetler.
The AWM acquisition follows ARRAY's purchase of APA Solar. Together, the deals broaden the company's presence across the balance-of-system (BoS) segment for utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
