Indian hydropower company NHPC Ltd. has launched a tender seeking an EPC services provider for 100 MW solar power capacity it is developing in Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the tender launched, the contract is for a 100 MW solar crystalline photovoltaic grid connected solar power plant to be established with associated power evacuation equipment in the villages of Sherwa, Chak Lathiya and Jafarkhani in Chunar region. Winning bidder would need to also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 5 years.
NHPC said bids can be submitted till May 5, 2021, and bids will be opened on May 12, 2021.
In October 2020, NHPC said it plans to develop a 600 MW solar power plant in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh which it plans to commission by the end of 2022, or start of 2023. It also said the company has secured power sale agreements (PSA) and power purchase agreements (PPA) with discoms and solar project developers for 2 GW solar PV capacity as an intermediary producer (see India PV News Snippets: NHPC, ReNew, AC, Sri Lanka, Mercom).
