Shuangliang increasing loan sought by RMB 2 billion: Shuangliang Eco-Energy will seek to increase its loan amount for 40 GW monocrystalline silicon wafer project by RMB 2 billion, taking its external borrowing amount to a total of RMB 7 billion. It is currently progressing on the construction of phases I and II to realize the 40 GW large size wafer capacity in Baotou, as announced earlier (see China PV News Snippets: Shuangliang, Asia Silicon, LONGi). The previous loan amount of RMB 5 billion was not enough to meet the company’s capital requirements, it said. The proposal has been approved by the company’s board.

1 GW module production capacity online: Tunghzu Azure has officially announced commercial operations of its 1 GW high efficiency module production line for RMB 150 million in Jinzhai. These modules have a maximum power output of over 670W and a conversion efficiency of up to 21.6%. Tunghzu already has a 2 GW module production capacity in Jinzhai.

Tianda’s 15 GW modules capacity operational: Tianda New Energy has energized phase I of its RMB 6 billion 15 GW high efficiency solar PV module production facility after the construction started on site in January 2022.
