TaiyangNews Conference on 25 April 2023: TaiyangNews will be hosting a Virtual Conference for the first time on Distributed Solar & Storage. Fired up by the global fossil energy crises resulting in skyrocketing energy crises last year, demand for distributed solar reached unknown heights in 2022. Even in the world’s largest solar PV market, China, distributed solar was the main growth driver. At this event, there will be leading stakeholders to discuss distributed solar – including module, inverter, battery storage and full solution suppliers – who will be providing updates on the latest product developments for increasing energy independence of residential and commercial buildings. Companies that will participate include module makers LONGi, JinkoSolar, Aikosolar, Astronergy, Risen, some who offer also battery storage or other system equipment. We have also battery start-up Solarnative present about its micro inverter, and Chinese white-ware giant Haier talk about their motivation to expand into the home energy market. The Conference will take place on #25April 2023 from 9.30 to 13.30 CEST. The #registrations are for #free. For agenda and free registration, click here

LONGi first slicer for silicon wafers enters site: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company, LONGi, over a WeChat communication said that the first slicing machine for 46 GW silicon wafers has entered the site. This is part of LONGi photovoltaic integrated industry facility, where the company plans to build production lines and supporting facilities with an annual output of 46 GW of silicon ingots and wafers, 30 GW of cells and 5 GW of photovoltaic modules. Towards this facility, already 2,880 monocrystalline equipment, 440 machining equipment, and 912 slicing equipment have been purchased. Meanwhile, Alina Liu, Product Marketing Manager, LONGi will be taking part in the upcoming TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Distributed Solar on 25 April 2023. She will be speaking on the topic: High Efficiency Hi-MO 6 HPBC Modules for DG Applications in Europe. For Agenda and Free Registration, click here.

GCL Optoelectronics perovskite modules efficiency touches 16.02%: Perovskite solar modules producer GCL Optoelectronics said via WeChat that the photoelectric conversion efficiency of Kunshan GCL Optoelectronics’ 2m*1m large-area and large-size commercial perovskite modules has officially touched 16.02%. The company said that it will continue to go all out to improve the conversion efficiency of standard modules based on the premise of commercial size of perovskite modules – area greater than 2m2.

Equipment-entry ceremony at Astronergy Yancheng base: PV module manufacturer Astronergy said over WeChat that its 5 GW TOPCon PV module facility in Yancheng Base, which is currently in Phase 2 construction, held an equipment-entry ceremony. With an investment of RMB 3 billion ($0.44 billion), the first phase of the facility was completed in 2021, and the second phase is expected to be put into production by end of April 2023. The second phase has a production capacity of 5 GW high-efficiency crystalline silicon modules. On completion of this phase, the facility is expected to achieve an annual output of RMB 3 billion ($0.44 billion). On April 25, 2023, Xuanyi Shi, Product Manager Astronergy willspeaks on the topic The Advantages of Astronergy’s TOPCon Products in Distributed PV Application at the TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Distributed Solar & Storage.
