Sungrow launches its 1+X Modular Inverter, while NEA pegs household PV capacity at 5.09 GW, Zhongli subsidiaries sign RMB 1123.70 million contracts, Canadian Solar & China Huaneng partner for PV projects, and Jinko’s Sai Charan to take part in TaiyangNews Webinar on January 25.

Sungrow launches 1+X modular inverter: Solar PV inverter supplier Sungrow has launched its new central inverter – 1+X Modular Inverter – at the 2022 World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi. The 1+X inverter solution boasts of modularization at the inverter level, the system level and the component level. Three-level modularization makes power plant design more flexible and post O&M more convenient, the company says. It features 1.1 MW single unit as the minimum, but the block capacity can be expanded to a maximum of 8.8 MW by combining 8 units just like building blocks.

NEA pegs household PV capacity in Dec 2021 at 5.09 GW: Releasing the latest data, the Chinese National Energy Administration (NEA) said that the installed capacity of household photovoltaic projects newly included in the national financial subsidy scale in December 2021 was 5.09 GW. As of December 2021, the cumulative installed capacity of household photovoltaic projects included in the national financial subsidy scale in 2021 was 21.6 GW.

Zhongli subsidiaries sign PV module supply contracts: Solar module supplier Zhongli Group announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Zhongli Talesun Hong Kong Limited, has signed contracts with Brazoria West Solar Project, LLC, and Algonquin Power Fund (America), Inc, where it will sell photovoltaic modules to both the companies. At the same time, another wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhongli, Siyang Taenghui New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, has signed a contract to sell PV modules to Clean Solar Power. The total transactions will amount to approximately RMB 1123.70 million ($177.1 million).

Canadian Solar & China Huaneng partner for Hebei PV projects: After signing an agreement with Pingshan County in Hebei Province, Canada headquartered Chinese solar power company Canadian Solar and power sources developer China Huaneng Group are all set to invest in the construction of a 3 GW high-efficiency solar module green equipment project and a 0.5 GW ground-mount PV power generation project. The total investment of the projects is about RMB 3.5 billion ($0.55 billion).
