JinkoSolar comes up with 480 W n-type residential panel: Module supplier JinkoSolar announced that a 480 W solar panel for the residential market is now available from its JinkoSolar Tiger Neo series. Featuring its premium n-type TOPCon solar cells, Tiger Neo 480 W in 60-cell configuration has a module efficiency up to 22.24%. The module efficiency, the company said, holds more value in the residential and commercial market than utility PV. This is so because the area-related and non-module costs like labor and process under the retail business models are higher. JYT Corporation & JA Solar inks RMB 540 mn deal: Solar equipment maker JYT Corporation has signed an equipment purchase contract with Qujing JA Solar Technology. As per the agreement, JYT Corporation will be selling flexible shaft automatic monocrystal furnaces and a single crystal growth control system to Qujing JA Solar for a transaction amount of about RMB 540 million ($85.26 million) (tax included). In December 2021, vertically integrated module maker JA Solar announced that its 20 GW monocrystalline silicon rod and 20 GW monocrystalline silicon wafer manufacturing projects at the Qujing base have been put into production (see China PV News Snippets)

Tianchen to establish HJT company with Huasun Energy: Tianchen Co., Ltd., which is engaged in real estate, transportation and logistics industry, announced  plans to establish with Anhui Huasun Energy a solar HJT heterojunction module company. The equity ratio between Tianchen and Huasun will be 80% and 20% respectively. The announcement said that Tianchen will be responsible for the overall management of the joint venture company and will provide long-term capital guarantee. Huasun will provide technical, process and management support for the production of HJT modules.

Haiyuan to complete 600 MW production line by July: Disclosing the record sheet of investor-relation activities, Haiyuan said that it expects to complete its first 600 MW production line by early July this year. The total target of the first phase of the project is 5 GW, and the cell efficiency is about 24.5%. The company also said that basis the progress of the project, the company will decide whether to purchase additional equipment.

Daqo Energy to raise RMB 11 bn: Chinese polysilicon producer Daqo New Energ released plans to raise RMB 11 billion ($1.74 billion) to build a high-purity silicon-based materials project with an annual output of 100,000 tons. Last month, the company said that it expects to report a net profit of between RMB 5.6 billion to RMB 5.8 billion ($885 million to $917 million) in 2021 (see 2021 Profit Alert For Daqo New Energy)
