SC New Energy's HJT cell line online: Solar cell production equipment maker SC New Energy Technology Corporation has commissioned its heterojunction (HJT) pilot line. The pilot production line at SC New Energy Changzhou Research Institute rolled out the 1^st high-efficiency HJT cell on July 20, 2021, the Chinese company announced. It said the pilot line of its HJT cell equipment and technology will enable it to have low-cost HJT equipment within China, while driving comprehensive promotion of this technology.

Investment agreement for renewable energy: Linyang Energy will set up 1.5 GW solar PV, 500 MW wind power and 400 MW/800 MWh centralized and shared energy storage project in Wuhe County of Bengbu in Anhui province. For this RMB 10.8 billion project, it has signed an investment cooperation agreement with Wuhe County. It also plans to invest RMB 900 million in the construction of a 2.5 GW high-efficiency bifacial module power generation project in Wuhe Economic Development Zone.

Chint planning capital increase: A subsidiary of Chint plans to raise RMB 1 billion to promote its distributed solar PV business for which it intends to offer shares to its investors. On completion of the process, Chint Aneng's shareholding in the subsidiary will come down to 70.6%, from 84.72%.

8.5 GW PV module production: Yangzhou Jinghua New Energy Technology has signed a contract with Yangzhou city's Jiangdu district in Jiangsu province to construct an 8.5 GW solar PV module manufacturing project. The company said it has a construction scale of 10 GW and expects a total project investment worth RMB 3.5 billion. The company stated, "After the 10 GW project capacity is fully released, it will achieve tens of billions of industrial invoices, tax revenues of over 100 million, and module shipments among the world's forefront."
