China Shuifa signs for 5 GW new energy base: During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, BIPV system developer and EPC, China Shuifa Singyes Energy Holdings Limited wants to develop and build a 5 GW 'new energy' base project in Inner Mongolia. By 2025, the installed new energy capacity will exceed 50%, becoming the main energy source of the region's electricity, it said. JA Solar & Santan sign up for module procurement: Solar PV Panel Manufacturer JA Solar and integrated industrial digital financial technology service provider San Tan Technology Co., Ltd. have signed a framework agreement for the supply of PV modules. According to the agreement, JA Solar will supply 500 MW of high-efficiency PV modules to Santan Technology 's county-wide projects in Shandong, Zhejiang, Anhui and Hainan.

China Longyuan releases 2021 interim results: Holding its 2021 interim results tele-conference, new energy technologies developer China Longyuan Power Group said its operating revenue was at RMB 17.87 billion ($2.77 billion), up 25.7% year-on-year. The company said that it has signed a new development agreement for 23 GW, and the newly approved (recorded) capacity was 3,200 MW, which was 5 times that of the same period last year. Among them, wind power was of 545 MW and photovoltaic power was of 2,655 MW. The bidding projects stood at 1,860 MW, of which wind power was 680 MW and photovoltaic power was 1,180 MW.
