TaiyangNews launches weekly PV Price Index: TaiyangNews has launched a new weekly price index, which provides the average product prices for Polysilicon, Wafers, Cells, Modules & Solar Glass. The data refers to average product prices in China, and has been collected by Chinese market research firm Gessey Information Technology Co. Ltd. In calendar week 23 the way for these prices along the silicon module value chain pointed mostly in one direction: Down. For complete information on the PV price index, click here.

Huasun inks 2.02 GW HJT deal: Heterojunction solar PV manufacturer from China Huasun said via WeChat that it has sealed a deal with Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited. With this, Huasun will supply 2.02 GW of Himalayan G12-132 high-efficiency heterojunction modules to Huadong Engineering for its photovoltaic power generation EPC project in Dali. The Himalayan G12-132 heterojunction modules is supposed to have high mass production level, touching even 730 W, and a conversion efficiency of 23.5%. Last year too, Huadong Engineering had bought 10 GW PV modules from Huasun (see China Solar PV News Snippets)

Arctech partners with Shanghai Shisheng New Materials: Chinese provider of solar tracking and installation solutions Arctech said via WeChat that it has joined hands with technology development company Shanghai Shisheng New Materials. As part of the agreement, both parties will work in the area of photovoltaic and other composite materials, and look forward to industrialize new composite material module frame and achieve innovations in PV silver technology. Towards this, Shanghai Shisheng has already established a research and development team for polymer material technology,

Zhongqing PV facility put into production: Over WeChat, high-tech enterprise in PV industry, Zhongqing Photovoltaic said that its Dongzhi facility, which is in the first phase, has gone into production. In this phase, it will be producing 6 GW n-type TOPCOn modules. The second phase of 12 GW n-type TOPCon high-efficiency photovoltaic cells is also underway.
