TW Solar (Tongwei) to unveil 2 new modules at Intersolar South America: Chinese integrated solar PV manufacturer TW Solar has announced that it will be launching 2 new modules at Intersolar South America, to be held in Brazil from August 29 to 31. The 1st module, named TWMHF-66HD, is based on THC (Tongwei HJT Cell) technology, and boasts a maximum power of more than 743 W. Calling it the 1st heterojunction (HJT) module in the industry that combines silverless technology, ultra-thin silicon wafer, double-sided microcrystalline technology, high-performance target doping, light injection, among others, the company claims efficiency gains of more than 1%. The second module to be unveiled is the TWMNG-72HD, which is built on the high-efficiency TNC (Tongwei n-type passivated contact cell) technology developed independently by TW Solar, delivers a maximum power of 625 W. TW Solar's TNC cells currently have a 25.7% mass production efficiency rate. TW Solar's module was ranked 7th in TaiyangNews Top Modules for August 2023 (see Top Solar Modules Listing – August 2023).

JinkoSolar's BESS for Djibouti hybrid off-grid PV/DG System: JinkoSolar today announced that it has delivered a 1.1 MWh BESS for a Hybrid Off-grid PV/DG System in the Republic of Djibouti for the electrification of rural communities. This PV/DG/BATT off-grid system is composed of 1200 kW JinkoSolar's Tiger Neo PV modules, 3 diesel generators, 1.1 MWh JinkoSolar battery storage, and inverters, PCS, converter systems which are all provided by JinkoSolar. After completion, diesel power generation will be shortened from 24 hours a day to 8 hours a day.
