  • Huasun declares its HJT solar panel series Himalaya’s power output as having increased to 723.97W
  • Certified by Germany’s TÜV SÜD, it claims a power conversion efficiency of 23.30% for the module
  • The Chinese manufacturer claims its G12 Himalaya series promise 6% to 8% higher power generation compared to other large size modules

Chinese solar cell and module manufacturer Huasun has announced a new maximum conversion efficiency of 23.30% for its heterojunction (HJT) Himalaya solar modules resulting in a ‘module power record’ of 723.97 W  certified by German certification agency TÜV SÜD.

Huasun has reported increased output for its G12-132 series of HJT modules that use 210mm HJT solar cells. For these, it uses single-sided microcrystalline technology with SMBB design. It also deploys PIB as encapsulation for the cells that are then integrated with light conversion film to reduce chance of damage to the cells.

The company claims the annual power generation of its Himalaya G12-132 module to be at least 6% to 8% higher than other large-size modules. It targets these modules for the utility scale power stations.

With 723.97W output, Huasun has exceeded its previous highs of 710W in June 2022, and 715W in January 2023, certified by TÜV SÜD for its G12 HJT panels (see Huasun’s G12 Heterojunction Solar Module Now 715W Strong).

Huasun’s G12 HJT module with 700W output and 22.53% efficiency is listed on TaiyangNews’ Top Solar Modules March Listing on 5th position while Aiko Solar just claimed the top with 23.6% efficiency (see Top Solar Modules Listing—March 2023).

TÜV Süd, which certified Huasun’s record efficiency, will present at the the upcoming TaiyangNews Solar & Sustainability Virtual Conference on March 30 about CO2 certifications for cell and module producers. To check the agenda and register for free, click here.
