Nextracker bags NTPC project: Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWRE) has picked Nextracker trackers for NTPC Renewable Energy Limited's (NTPC REL) 1.568 GW DC/1.255 GW AC solar PV project in Khavda RE Park. Nextracker will supply its bifacial solar trackers for the project and said it expands the US based company's GW portfolio in India. "The Khavda project is a phenomenal venture to be a part of where we can support Make in India with 75% of our system components manufactured in the country and it supports India's target to reach 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030," Nextracker Founder and CEO Dan Shugar.
Airtel increases stake in Avaada subsidiary: A subsidiary of telecommunications firm Bharti Airtel Limited, Nxtra Data Limited has increased its stake in Avaada MHAmravati Private Limited by 5.464%, the parent announced. The latter is a renewable energy special purpose vehicle (SPV) of Avaada to own and operate captive power plants. In June 2022 it had acquired 11.696% stake in the SPV.
SJVN awards 15 MW AC floating solar contract to Hartek: Hartek Group's EPC business Hartek Solar has won an award from SJVN Limited to build a 15 MW AC/22 MW DC floating solar plant at Nangal Pond in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur district. Hartek claims on completion it will become North India's largest floating solar power plant. Scope of the work awarded by SJVN's wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy limited includes complete EPC of the projects along with comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M). It is designed to generate 33 million units annually.
Goa launches solar portal: Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant officially launched the Solar Rooftop Online Portal as a one-stop-shop for solar projects installation and subsidy disbursement in the state. Developed by Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) in association with the Department of New and Renewable Energy and Electricity Department, the portal goasolar.in will assist with application process, installation of the project as well.
