LONGi Shipped 17 GW+ PV Modules In H1/2021

Integrated solar PV manufacturer from China, LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. reported its annual solar PV module shipments in H1/2021 as 17.01 GW, out of which 16.6 GW was sold externally having improved 152.4% on annual basis. A small volume of 410 MW was used by the company for self-use.

During the reporting period, the company shipped 38.36 GW of monocrystalline silicon wafers, including 18.76 GW having been shipped externally, representing an increase of 36.48% YoY. It used the majority, 19.6 GW for own consumption.

The manufacturer reported an operating income of RMB 35.098 billion in H1/2021, having grown 74.26% annually thanks to higher sales. Its net profit went up 25.95% to RMB 4.905 billion. Operating costs went up 90.28% to RMB 27.12 million due to increase in module sales and increase in freight rates.

Currently, LONGi manufactures monocrystalline silicon rods and wafers from its bases in Xi'an in Shaanxi West, Yinchuan and Zhongning in Ningxia, Lijiang, Baoshan, Qujing and Chuxiong in Yunnan and Kuching in Malaysia. Solar cells are produced by the company from facilities located in Xi'an in Shaanxi, Yinchuan in Ningxia, Taizhou in Jiangsu, Kuching in Malaysia and Beijiang in Vietnam. Its module production bases are located in Chuzhou in Anhui, Quzhou and Jiaxing in Zhejiang, Taizhou in Jiangsu, Xi'an and Xianyang in Shaanxi, Datong in Shanxi and Beijiang in Vietnam.

In early August 2021, PV InfoLink placed LONGi on top of its list of module shipment ranking for H1/2021 (see LONGi & Tongwei Top PV InfoLink's H1/2021 Ranking).
