  • MPUVNL has launched a tender for the implementation of 440 MW grid connected solar power capacity in Madhya Pradesh
  • It needs to come from projects within capacity range of 500 kW and 2 MW with ceiling tariff of INR 3.07 per kWh
  • The tender has been launched under component A of Government of India’s PM-KUSUM Scheme

Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) is inviting proposals for the implementation of close to 440 MW of grid connected solar PV capacity in the state under component A of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahahiyan (PM-KUSUM) Scheme.

Broad scope of work is design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the projects. Comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for 25 years is also part of the job. Ceiling tariff for interested projects is INR 3.07 ($0.040) per kWh.

Projects can have a minimum capacity of 500 kW and go up to 2 MW, and grid connected to 33/11 kV substation. Total capacity connected to a single bay in a substation shall not exceed 5 MW. Power generated will be procured by the Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA).

Last date to submit bids is April 4, 2022, and technical bids will be opened on April 7, 2022. Further details can be availed from the agency’s website.

Recently, Madhya Pradesh’s neighboring state of Maharashtra also floated a tender for 500 MW AC solar under component C of the PM-KUSUM Scheme (see 500 MW AC Solar Power Tender From MSEDCL).

Through this scheme, India targets to install 30.8 GW solar by 2022 through 3 components (see MNRE Revises Solar Target Under PM-KUSUM Scheme).
