Avaada has proposed an INR 10,000 crore investment for a 300-acre green industrial campus in Hisar
The campus is planned around traceable, round-the-clock renewable power, and low-carbon manufacturing
The state of Haryana will support the project through infrastructure, incentives, utilities, and regulatory facilitation
India’s Avaada Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC) to develop a proposed 300-acre green industrial campus in Haryana, powered by renewable energy, round-the-clock (RTC).
Avaada said the project is intended to support industries looking to reduce the carbon intensity of their operations and prepare for global carbon and sustainability requirements, including the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
The campus in Haryana’s Hisar is planned as a Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus and would be powered by reliable, traceable, and RTC renewable energy.
The proposed campus seeks to bring together renewable energy, industrial infrastructure, and green manufacturing within an integrated ecosystem, said Avaada.
In other words, with 24×7 clean energy supply, companies operating within the Hisar campus will be able to reduce the carbon intensity of their operations and can be CBAM-ready for low-carbon exports to Europe and other markets.
The project involves a proposed investment of around INR 10,000 crore and could create more than 5,000 jobs, according to the company.
Under the MoU, the Haryana government, through HEPC, will facilitate the proposed development by providing support for industrial-park status, possible incentives, common infrastructure, connectivity, and utilities. HEPC will also help coordinate statutory approvals through the state's single-window system.
Avaada said it will also work alongside the Haryana government to attract anchor investors, technology partners, and industrial participants to the campus. The partners plan to explore joint investment roadshows in markets including Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, and South Korea.
Avaada has not shared details regarding an approximate timeline or the technology mix for the renewable energy component for this project. At the end of May 2026, Avaada’s total renewable energy portfolio stood at 17.7 GW, comprising 7.2 GW operational and 10.5 GW under construction projects.
It also operates 8.5 GW of module production capacity, which it plans to increase to 13.6 GW and cell capacity to 12 GW, while venturing into ingot and wafer production (see Avaada Starts 3 GW TOPCon Cell Line In Maharashtra).
Commenting on the MoU with Haryana, Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group, said, “Envisaged with an investment of Rs 10,000 crore, the campus will bring together reliable, traceable and round-the-clock renewable energy with industrial infrastructure designed to support low-carbon and CBAM-ready manufacturing.”
Recently, the company raised $1.3 billion in financing for multiple renewable energy projects across Maharashtra and Gujarat (see Avaada Closes $1.3 Billion Financing For 2.15 GW RE Portfolio).
