JinkoSolar delivers 100 GW of solar panel globally; Chint gives EPC support to 550 MW fishery-PV project; Risen showcases ultra-low carbon series including Super Top and Super Tile; NEA points that coal consumption to decline.
JinkoSolar touches 100 GW solar panel delivery milestone: Solar module manufacturer JinkoSolar Holding announced it has delivered 100 GW of solar modules globally. With Cheetah, Swan, Tiger and Tiger Pro series firmly established, the company has launched the new series of ultra-efficient Tiger Neo modules, the first mass produced module that delivers a maximum power output of up to 620 W and an ultra-high conversion efficiency of up to 22.30%. Its higher energy yield performance and real-world reliability is complemented by extremely low degradation and working temperature, and is capable of achieving 3%-5% more energy generation compared to the PERC applied system with the same capacity. Chint Solar undertakes fishery & PV project in Shantou: The groundbreaking ceremony of Shantou Chaonan Longtian 400 MW and Chaoyang Heping 150 MW Fishery-Light Photovoltaic Power Generation Project, for which Chint Solar had provided EPC general contracting services, took place recently, a media report said. It is estimated that on completion of the project, the average annual clean power generation will be 600 million kWh, which is equivalent to reducing the consumption of standard coal by 200,000 tons and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 600,000 tons each year, which is equivalent to planting 340,000 trees.
Risen releases ultra-low-carbon BIPV and HJT products: Chinese solar panel maker Risen Energy launched its ultra-low carbon series products in Ninghai. The company shared the latest BIPV products, which included Super Top, Super Tile, and HJT product – Hyper-ion. The carbon reduction level and power generation performance of new products have been further upgraded, leading to a new pattern of development and application of BIPV and HJT. Recently, Risen had got TUV South Germany Certification for its Heterojunction Modules Output reaching over 606W (see Risen Energy’s HJT Solar Modules Exceed 600W Output)
NEA releases notice on Guiding Opinions on Energy Work 2022: Issuing the Guiding Opinions on Energy Work in 2022, the National Energy Administration pointed out that in 2022, the structural transformation should be steadily promoted. Some of the other notable points mentioned were:
- the proportion of coal consumption will steadily decline
- the proportion of non-fossil energy in total energy consumption will increase to about 17.3%
- the new electric energy will replace about 180 billion kWh of electricity, and wind power and photovoltaic power generation will account for 17.3% of total energy consumption
