Shuangliang to seek RMB 2 billion more for 40 GW wafer project; Tunghzu Azure commissions 1 GW module line and Tianda New Energy phase I of 15 GW module production capacity; Kibing increases subsidiary’s registered capital by RMB 900 million; Haosheng starts constructing HJT cell project.

Shuangliang increasing loan sought by RMB 2 billion: Shuangliang Eco-Energy will seek to increase its loan amount for 40 GW monocrystalline silicon wafer project by RMB 2 billion, taking its external borrowing amount to a total of RMB 7 billion. It is currently progressing on the construction of phases I and II to realize the 40 GW large size wafer capacity in Baotou, as announced earlier (see China PV News Snippets: Shuangliang, Asia Silicon, LONGi). The previous loan amount of RMB 5 billion was not enough to meet the company’s capital requirements, it said. The proposal has been approved by the company’s board.

1 GW module production capacity online: Tunghzu Azure has officially announced commercial operations of its 1 GW high efficiency module production line for RMB 150 million in Jinzhai. These modules have a maximum power output of over 670W and a conversion efficiency of up to 21.6%. Tunghzu already has a 2 GW module production capacity in Jinzhai.

Tianda’s 15 GW modules capacity operational: Tianda New Energy has energized phase I of its RMB 6 billion 15 GW high efficiency solar PV module production facility after the construction started on site in January 2022. According to local media reports, the facility has come up in Chuzhou High-Tech Zone of Tiangchang city, Anhui province.   

Capital increase for Kibing subsidiary: Kibing Group says it will use its own funds to increase capital the registered capital of its subsiciary Chenzhou Photovoltaic by RMB 900 million, to take it to a total of RMB 3.22 billion. It will continue to hold 100% stake in the subsidiary. Chenzhou Photovoltaic is active in the business of solar glass and has a capacity of 1,200 tons per day. The new funds will help improve the overall competitiveness of the group’s solar PV business.

Haosheng’s HJT cell project under construction: Haosheng Technology has started the construction of its high efficiency silicon heterojunction cell and power generation equipment manufacturing project at Shenfu Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone in Liaoning Province. According to local media reports, the project is coming up on over 50 acres of space with an estimated investment of about RMB 620 million. Once the project is fully ramped up by the end of 2022, its annual output will be about RMB 1.7 billion.
