Recently, DAS Solar announced that construction has begun for its 10 GW photovoltaic n-type module and 2 GW photovoltaic cell facilities in Jingshan (see China PV News Snippets).

Jiangsu Linyang to invest in 20 GW n-type TOPCon cell facility: Jiangsu Linyang, an operator and service provider of decentralized energy and energy management solutions, announced its intention to invest in a 20 GW high-efficiency n-type TOPCon photovoltaic cell production facility. This will help promote the company’s business development in the new energy sector. The facility will be built in phases, where, in the first phase RMB 5 billion ($0.72 billion) will be spent to build 12 GW, and in the second phase, 8 GW will be built with an investment of RMB 5 billion ($0.72 billion). The amount of investment for the second phase is just a first estimate, said the company.

Aiko Solar to acquire 2.78% equity of Qinghai Lihao: Chinese solar cell producer Aiko Solar announced that it has plans to invest RMB 385 million ($55.3 million) to acquire a 2.78% stake in Qinghai Lihao, a process technology research and development company.
