JinkoSolar's new version of Tiger Neo to be released on January 10; Longyuan and Trina to increase subsidiary capital; Risen to provide Wasion with 100 MW TITAN series modules; IEC certifies Microquanta module; DAS Solar and Elion partner for PV desertification control.
JinkoSolar to release 2023 version of Tiger Neo: Module supplier JinkoSolar said via WeChat that the 2023 version of its n-type TOPCon modules will be unveiled on January 10. This version not only has high cell conversion efficiency and high-power generation but also high double-sided rates and includes three mainstream versions: 72 cells (615Wp/23.23%); 78 cells (635Wp/22.72%); and 54 cells (445Wp/22.27%). With improved efficiency, power, performance and reliability, the modules will now be able to meet the needs of ground power stations, industrial and commercial distribution in every possible scenario. JinkoSolar will be taking part in TaiyangNews' upcoming Virtual Conference on Solar Module Innovations 2023 scheduled to take place on January 31 from 09:30-13:30 CET. Trina & Longyuan to invest in Longyuan Mingzhu: Housing construction company Longyuan Construction announced that it has signed an investment agreement with Chinese solar module manufacturer Trina Solar. With this, both the companies will jointly invest in Longyuan Mingzhu, which is a subsidiary of Longyuan Construction. As they invest, they will be increasing the capital of the subsidiary by RMB 1.45 billion ($0.21 billion) in three phases. Earlier in 2021 too, Longyuan had partnered with Trina and the Xiejiaji & Huazhou districts (see China PV News Snippets). Also in the upcoming TaiyangNews Virtual Conference on Solar Module Innovations 2023, Trina Solar will be one the participating companies. For Agenda and Free Registration, please click here.
Risen partners with Wasion: Over a WeChat communication, Chinese solar panel maker Risen Energy, said that it will provide Wasion with 100 MW 210+p-type TITAN series high-efficiency monocrystalline PERC modules. This is for Wasion to construct new energy plants. Wasion is a professional provider of energy metering equipment, systems and services. Equipped with advanced technologies such as high-density packaging, MBB, non-destructive cutting, and low-voltage design, these modules improve the utilization rate on industrial and commercial roofs.
Microquanta's perovskite α module IEC certified: Perovskite photovoltaic technology and industrialization company Microquanta announced that its α module has successfully passed the IEC61215 and IEC61730 stability system certification. Microquanta claimed that it has become the world's first and currently the only perovskite institution to have passed these two stability full-system tests. These certifications will now enable Microquanta to indulge in large-scale commercial application and industrial development of perovskite modules. Last September, Hangzhou Microquanta had improved perovskite modules conversion efficiency (see China PV News Snippets)
DAS Solar and Elion join hands for PV desertification control: Chinese solar PV module and cell supplier DAS Solar, and ecological restoration company Elion have come together for photovoltaic desertification control and industrial development. Both the companies have signed a joint venture cooperation agreement, wherein they will invest RMB 4 billion ($0.59 billion) each in Inner Mongolia to build a 10 GW high-efficiency cells facility and a 10 GW photovoltaic modules facility. The modules will be designed to be used in deserts and wastelands. The facilities will begin construction in March and expect to complete it by September. Both the companies will also be focusing on constructing a Photovoltaic Research Institute too.
