Shuangliang subsidiary secures Tongwei contract; Suzhou Shijing plans 24 GW n-type TOPCon cell project; Zhongneng Optoelectronics’ 20.08% perovskite solar cell module efficiency; JinkoSolar and Zhongtian Green Energy explore BIPV; Ganjing Garden to raise money for HJT production.

Polysilicon reduction furnace sale: Shuangliang Eco-Energy subsidiary Jiangsu Shuangliang New Energy Equipment has secured a contract to sell multiple pairs of polysilicon reduction furnace equipment to Yunnan Tongwei High-Purity Crystalline Silicon Co Ltd. Contract value is expected as RMB 263.7 million. The latter plans to use this equipment in Yunnan Tongwei Hydropower Silicon High-Purity Crystalline Silicon Green Energy Project which is phase II of 200,000 tons per year high purity crystalline silicon project in Changning Garden Zhongyuan, Baoshan Industry and Trade Park. This project is expected to be put in production in 2024.

24 GW TOPCon solar cell production plans: Suzhou Shijing Technology Co Ltd has entered an investment cooperation agreement with the Ningguo Economic Development Management Committee for a 24 GW high efficiency n-type monocrystalline TOPCon solar cell project. The company estimates the project to be built for a maximum of RMB 11.2 billion in 2 phases. Under phase I, it plans to invest RMB 7.5 billion to bring online 18 GW annual capacity by November 2023, whose construction is scheduled to begin in April 2023. On completion, it is expected to achieve an annual sales revenue of about RMB 20 billion. Decision on phase II with 6 GW capacity will be taken once phase I is up and running.

20.08% perovskite module efficiency: Zhongneng Optoelectronics has achieved TUV certification for 20.08% perovskite solar cell module efficiency. The company has achieved this efficiency level on an area of 61.58cm² which increased by 40.81 cm² from 20.77 cm² on which it previously reported an efficiency of 16.63%.  The Voc for improved efficiency was 11.820V while field factor was 80.10%, according to the company. It has signed an agreement with China Power Construction’s Xinlei Group for 60 production lines for 200 MW capacity.

JinkoSolar exploring cooperation for BIPV: JinkoSolar and Zhongtian Green Energy have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to explore BIPV technology. Joining forces to realize the future development vision of BIPV, they plan to undertake system construction, business layout and project implementation under the partnership.

RMB 469 million for HJT production: Ganjing Garden intends to raise up to RMB 469 million through issuing A shares to invest in the production of 1 GW high efficiency heterojunction (HJT) cell project, and 2 GW HJT module production project. Both projects are planned for Huainan city of Anhui province. These investments will expand the production scale of the company’s HJT modules and strengthen its industry position, the management stated.
