LONGi completes shipping 10 GW Hi-MO 5 modules: Chinese vertically integrated solar PV company LONGi announced that its Hi-MO 5 modules (72 cells) based on 182mm wafer have been supplied to more than 600 customers in 57 countries around the world, with cumulative shipments exceeding 10 GW. Hi-MO 5 module is fully compatible with brackets, inverters, and other PV plant equipment under a variety of application scenarios, reducing BOS costs. East Hope to invest in PV industry chain project in Wuhai: Wuhai Municipal Government and Chinese polysilicon producer East Hope have signed an agreement for photovoltaic projects, according to a Photovoltaic Network News Report. As per the agreement, East Hope is planning to invest RMB 20.6 billion ($3.22 billion) to construct photovoltaic projects along the value chain in Wuhai City, including high-purity crystalline silicon, monocrystalline silicon wafers, cells, modules and photovoltaic power generation. In June this year, East Hope Group had announced its plans to develop a solar PV module production facility with 10 GW annual capacity in Mianchi County of Sanmenxia City in China (see 10 GW Solar Module Production Plans In China)
Shuifa to build 500 MW fish-PV project: The People's Government of Dangyang City, clean energy service provider Shuifa Group and engineering and construction firm POWERCHINA HUADONG Engineering Corporation Limited (HDEC) jointly signed an investment agreement, a Photovoltaic Network News Report said. As per the agreement, Shuifa Group plans to build a 500 MW fish-photovoltaic complementary power generation project and a 200 MW wind power generation project in Dangyang City.
Zhongli to invest in high-efficiency PV module project in Huainan: Solar module supplier Zhongli Group, in an announcement, said that its wholly owned subsidiary Talesun Solar has reached an agreement on the construction and operation of a 5 GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module project in Huainan City.
