Kong Sun to sell PV project subsidiary for RMB 33.58 mm: In an announcement, investor and solar power plant operator Kong Sun Holdings Limited said that the company’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary intends to sell the entire equity of Yonglian for a total consideration of RMB 33.58 million ($5.15 million). Established in 2013, the Yonglian Project was connected to the grid and had started power generation. Few days ago, Kong Sun Holdings had sold Jiangshan Yongchen project for RMB 1.17 bn (see China PV News Snippets: Sunova, Kong Sun, GCL). The group intends to use the net proceeds from the sale to repay existing debts.

 China Glass to relocate 4 solar glass production lines: In response to local urban planning regulations, float and reflective glass manufacturer, China Glass Holdings Ltd., plans to combine four of its solar glass production lines and relocate from Qixia district of Nanjing in Jiangsu Province. The company said that it will now establish a new photovoltaic ultra-white rolled glass production base in the Suqian HighTech district of Jiangsu.

Shanxi Province to build a national PV industry base: The official website of Shanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the “Three-year Action Plan for the Development of Shanxi Photovoltaic Manufacturing Industry (2020-2022)”. Shanxi Province aims to achieve RMB 13 billion ($1.99 billion) in PV manufacturing operating income by 2022 and will have leading enterprises such as Jinneng Group and Lu’an Group to expand the photovoltaic industry chain. In 2019, the revenue of the province’s photovoltaic manufacturing industry was RMB 8.70 billion ($1.33 billion)

JinkoPower appoints Jin Rui as General Manager: PV power plant operator JinkoPower issued an announcement stating that the Board of Directors have decided to appoint Jin Rui as the company’s general manager. The Board felt that Jin Rui has the management experience and professional competence, and he complies with relevant laws and regulations and meets the criteria required of the position. The announcement comes at a time JinkoSolar has changed the management for formal reasons as it prepares for a listing at the Shanghai stock exchange (see Senior Management Changes Announced By JinkoSolar).
