Zhongli signs Loyang 400 MW rooftop PV project: Zhongli Group, owner of module maker Talesun, announced its partnership with the Development and Reform Bureau of Loyang County for a rooftop distributed PV power generation project, the scale of which is expected to be 300-400 MW. This project would include party and government departments, schools, hospitals, village committees, industrial and commercial plants of Loyang County. Recently, Zhongli Group had signed a 500 MW rooftop distributed project with the People's Government of Benxi Manchu Autonomous County and China Power Investment Northeast New Energy Development (see China PV News Snippets: Sungrow, Zhongli, JA Solar)
Canadian Solar signs O&M agreements for US battery projects: In a press release, Canada headquartered Chinese solar power company Canadian Solar confirmed that it has signed long-term Operations & Maintenance (O&M) agreements with two solar PV plus battery storage projects in the California, US – the Slate and Mustang projects. In case of Slate, which is a 300 MWac solar plant designed with a 140 MW / 561 MWh battery energy storage system, the agreement is for the whole project. While for Mustang Project, which is a 100 MWac solar plant retrofitted with a 75 MW / 300 MWh battery storage system, the agreement is only for the storage component.
Hailu to sell 156.45 MW PV power plant project for RMB 1.02 bn: Design and manufacturing enterprise Hailu Heavy Industries said that it intends to sell 100% equity of Zhangjiagang Hailu New Energy for no less than RMB 1.02 billion ($0.16 billion). Zhangjiagang has about 156.45 MW PV projects (including centralized PV capacity of about 141.7MW, and rooftop PV capacity of about 14.75 MW). The sale of these solar power plants can optimize the company's asset structure, recoup capital and focus on the main business more efficiently.
Guodian signs 1st county-wide rooftop PV investment deal in Yunnan: China Energy Investment Corporation subsidiary Guodian Power has signed an investment agreement with the government of Yunnan Province for the development of a rooftop distributed PV power generation project for the whole county. The capacity of the project is about 245 MW and the construction is expected to start this year. This is the first county-wide rooftop distributed PV power generation project agreement signed by Guodian Power in Yunnan Province. Earlier this year, Guodian had partnered with Xuanwei for 1.2 GW solar energy storage & wind projects (see China PV News Snippets: GoodWe, TBEA, Zhongqing, Guodian)
