Equipment for Tongwei 25 GW facility enters Yancheng base: Integrated solar PV manufacturer Tongwei Solar said via WeChat that the first batch of equipment for its 25 GW photovoltaic module facility in Yancheng has entered the site. This ensures that there has been significant progress in the facility, and the construction is advancing in the right direction. With about 41 production lines, Yancheng is considered to be one of the largest single bases in that area. Maxwell Technologies & Huasun sign HJT cell equipment sales deal: In an announcement, solar cell production equipment supplier Suzhou Maxwell Technologies Co, Ltd said that it has signed an equipment procurement deal with Chinese solar panel manufacturer, Huasun Energy. As per the agreement, Huasun will procure 13 high-efficiency silicon heterojunction solar cell production lines with a combined capacity of 7.8 GW. The transaction amount is yet to be disclosed. Huasun will be part of the TaiyangNews Global PV System Technology Trends H1/2023 Conference scheduled to take place 27 to 28 June 2023. Xinhao New Energy TOPCon facility produces first cell: Over a WeChat communication, Xinhao New Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MedicalSystem Company, said that its high-efficiency monocrystalline TOPCon cell facility has produced the first cell, with an efficiency that may go beyond 25.5%. Adopting leading TOPCon high-efficiency crystalline silicon photovoltaic cell technology, the facility has introduced over 500 sets of advanced, fully automated production equipment and 200 sets of automated production line robots. With 18 production lines, the facility has an annual production capacity of 9 GW. From the start of construction of the facility, it took the company only about seven months to produce the first cell. In February this year, Xinhao New Energy had shared plans to invest RMB 1.86 bn in monocrystalline cells (see China Solar PV News Snippets)

CR C’estbon factory uses Jinko Jingcai BIPV: Module supplier JinkoSolar, through WeChat, said that the first phase of CR C’estbon Ningxiang Zero carbon factory has started construction in Ningxiang, and that the facility adopts Jinko Jingcai BIPV. Jinko Jingcai BIPV adopts n-type TOPCon technology, and has the capability of increasing the installed capacity by 17% to 28%, and the power generation by 17% to 43%. Constructed and operated by CR Power Chenzhou Company, the facility plans to have an installed capacity of 14.5 MW on the DC side and 10.9 MW on the AC side, and an average annual power generation of about 13.44 million kWh. Shuangliang Eco-Energy signs RMB 355 million PV module purchase deal: China headquartered solar PV production equipment maker Shuangliang Eco-Energy announced that it has signed a 200 MW photovoltaic module procurement deal with Guoneng Longyuan Power Technology, a company that is into power plant contracting. With this development, the company will be providing monocrystalline silicon bifacial double-glass photovoltaic modules and supporting technical materials, special tools, and random spare parts to the tune of RMB 355.2 million ($50.5 million). The delivery is expected to be done before June 25, 2023.
