Licheng New Energy facility put into production: Photovoltaic equipment manufacturer Licheng New Energy said via WeChat that the first phase of its 4 GW high-efficiency module facility has been put into production. Also the company held the groundbreaking ceremony of the second phase of its 8 GW heterojunction cell facility. Once these facilities are completed, the annual output value is expected to be around RMB 10 billion ($1.38 billion).
Hoyuan Green TOPCon facility produces first cell: Over WeChat, Hoyuan Green Energy, who is a subsidiary of leading global supplier of polysilicon GCL Technology, said that its 16 GW n-type TOPCon high-efficiency facility at Xuzhou has produced its first cell. The mass production efficiency of the production line can touch 25.6%, the warehouse-in yield rate can touch 98%, the anti-PID attenuation is controlled within 2% (PID192h), and the facility can also produce customized cells with a thickness of 110~150um to meet the needs of different types of modules, the company added.
Cloud Live buys PV equipment from multiple companies: Photovoltaic cells and modules seller Cloud Live Technology Group announced that its holding subsidiary, Zhongke Gaoyou, will be buying automation equipment from Lead, Wuxi Jiangsong Science and Technology and S.C New Energy for the first phase of its n-type high-efficiency photovoltaic cell facility. Also, the company plans to procure relevant automated production equipment from Hangzhou Haikang Intelligent Technology and Guangzhou Blue Ocean Robot System. The total transaction amount may come to about RMB 106.5 million ($14.7 million).
Phase 1 of JP Solar's Karamay silicon wafer facility put into production: High-quality photovoltaic monocrystalline silicon wafers producer JP Solar said via WeChat that the commissioning ceremony of the 12 GW high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon ingot and wafer facility (Phase I) was held in Karamay city in Xinjiang. With an investment of RMB 3.5 billion ($0.48 billion), the facility is being developed in two phases. Once the facility is completely functional, it can generate an annual output of RMB 12 billion ($1.6 billion).
Chuangu Technology invests in HJT facility in Huishan: Over WeChat, new energy products company Chuangu Technology said that the first phase of its 1.2 GW heterojunction cell facility will be built in Huishan, with an investment of about RMB 500 million ($69.04 million). This move is expected to give a major boost to Huishan photovoltaic industry.
Goldwind to invest in equipment production in Qinhuangdao: Chinese wind power technology company Goldwind announced of its plans to invest RMB 13.3 billion ($1.84 billion) in a renewable energy equipment production fab in Qinhuangdao. The investment would include RMB 4 billion ($0.55 billion) in solar power and RMB 9.3 billion ($1.28 billion) in wind power. For solar power, Goldwin will work closed with Qinhuangdao government, while for the wind power, Goldwind would work with allies. Way back, Goldwind had set up a joint venture with Sungrow New Energy and CTG for energy storage (see China Solar PV News Snippets)
Jiangsu Zhongtian bags new storage system orders: China's Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology has announced winning several energy storage system orders. The utility-scale Energy Storage System (ESS) projects amount to RMB 953.4 million ($131.6 million) and include:
Hoshine to build 8 GW solar module facility: Leading raw silicon manufacturer for the global solar PV production industry Hoshine Silicon Industry Co Ltd said that it plans to build an 8 GW solar module facility in Jiaxing. With an investment of about RMB 1.5 billion ($0.21 billion), this facility will be producing different sizes of modules using corresponding cells, thus enabling flexible product mix for shifting demand.
