New prices for DAS Solar's for n-type cells and modules; POPSOLAR receives TÜV SÜD certification for its latest n-type TOPCon cell; Akcome's 1st module rolled out from new high-efficiency fab; China's first supply chain financial platform "Trina Rongtong" launched; Hunan Huamin signs wafer sales contract with Xwoo Energy.

DAS Solar's latest price list for n-type products: Chinese solar PV module and cell supplier DAS Solar released new prices for its n-type products.

  • The price for 182 bifacial monocrystalline n-type cells (mainstream efficiency ≥ 25.6%) remains unchanged at RMB 0.8/W ($0.18/W). Note, however, that the stated mainstream efficiency as of June was ≤ 25.3%.
  • The price for 182 bifacial double-glass n-type modules (mainstream power ≥ 585W) is now quoted at RMB 1.35/W ($0.19/W), a decrease of RMB 0.20/W ($0.028/W) from June.

The last price announcement from the company was in the month of June (see China Solar PV News Snippets). Meanwhile, in a recent conversation with TaiyangNews, DAS Solar's Chairman and President Liu Yong mentioned plans to expand its n-type production capacity by 2023-end to over 30 GW (see SNEC Exclusive: DAS Solar Executive Interview).

POPSOLAR New Energy secures TÜV SÜD certification for latest cell products: Cell and module manufacturer POPSOLAR New Energy received TÜV SÜD certification for its latest n-type TOPCon cell. The product performed well throughout the LID and LETID test cycles, based on the IEC 63202-1:2019 and IEC TS 63202-4:2022 standards. The cell achieved LID stability with a total stable irradiation of 8 kWh/m2, far lower than the 20 kWh/m2 allowed by the standard, and an average power attenuation of 0.67%. In the LETID test, the cell achieved a maximum power attenuation of 0.90%, reaching LETID stability at 168 kWh/m2.

Akcome successfully rolls out 1st module from new 4.5 GW PV fab: Chinese solar cell and module producer Akcome Technology has rolled out its first module from its 4.5 GW high-efficiency HJT & TOPCon photovoltaic module facility. The company says it achieved this feat in only 100 days from the official start of construction in April this year to the successful roll-out of the 1st module.

Trina launches PV industry's 1st supply chain financial platform: Changzhou based Chinese module manufacturer Trina Solar launched the supply chain financial platform "Trina Rongtong". The platform is said to be the first of its kind in the country. On the first day of its launch, "Trina Rongtong" facilitated more than RMB 30 million ($4.2 million) in online financing for suppliers. While 120 suppliers currently have access to the platform, the company expects the number to exceed 300 by the end of this year.

Hunan Huamin signs sales contract for silicon wafers: High-tech enterprise Hunan Huamin Holding Group Co., Ltd. announced that its subsidiary, Honsun, has signed a monocrystalline wafer sales contract with Xwoo Energy. As part of the contract, Xwoo Energy plans to purchase 60 million monocrystalline wafers from Honsun before December 30, 2023 for a total value of about RMB 170 million ($23 million).
