Trina Storage and Kehua Digital Energy have launched an integrated artificial intelligence data center (AIDC) solution built around a source-grid-load-storage model, combined with computing infrastructure, to deliver a lower-cost, higher-efficiency, lower-carbon power supply for intelligent computing centers.
Under the agreement, Kehua Digital Energy will provide power supply architecture spanning the AIDC ‘gray zone’, including PV and energy storage, through to the ‘white zone’, including HVDC and solid-state transformers. Trina Storage will supply battery cells and system integration capabilities, supporting a full-chain solution covering green power supply, energy storage, and computing operations.
Wuxi Zihao Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of PV module manufacturer Sunova Solar, plans to build a 5 GW HJT module manufacturing base in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, according to a local Development and Reform Commission filing.
The project carries a total investment of RMB 1.36 billion and will be developed over 2026-2027, focusing on high-efficiency HJT module production capacity.
Gansu Province has released its ‘New Energy+’ action plan, stating that most new electricity demand through 2030 will be met by newly added renewable generation.
The plan calls for representative projects including multi-energy complementarity, green industrial parks, and PV-based desertification control, with a target of 160 GW of new energy installed capacity by 2030. With capacity at about 80.4 GW at the end of 2025, the target implies a doubling over 2026-2030.
Last month, Gansu set a price range of RMB 0.1954-0.2447/kWh for renewable bidding in 2027 (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has shortlisted 11 companies for its 2026 centralized inverter procurement, covering 5 GW across 4 packages, which was issued last month (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
The tender includes 200 MW of inverter step-up integrated units and 100 MW of centralized inverters, 4.4 GW of utility-scale string inverters, and 300 MW of distributed string inverters across 2 power classes. Shortlisted companies include Sungrow, Sineng Electric, GoodWe, Kehua Digital Energy, Hopewind, and Huawei.
Releasing its annual report for FY2025, wafer equipment and wafer manufacturer Gaoce Technology reported 2025 revenue of RMB 3.65 billion, down 18.43% year on year (YoY). Its adjusted net loss for the period widened by RMB 17.77 million in 2024 to RMB 126.94 million. The net loss figures in the annual report have been revised slightly from Gaoce’s original FY2025 financial results released in February (see China Solar PV News Snippets).
The company sold about 67 million km of diamond wire, including internal use, and recorded about 60 GW of wafer-slicing output in 2025. By year-end, planned wafer and cutting-service capacity reached 102 GW, with 63 GW deployed. The company said it can supply 60-80 μm wafers in small batches and has provided 50 μm and thinner samples for testing.
