Germany's Bundesnetzagentur or the Federal Network Agency counts the country to have installed over 841.5 MW new solar PV capacity in the initial 2 months of 2022, with the addition of 422.13 MW in the month of February 2022.
This number comprised 289.027 MW as having come from outside of the EEG tender scheme.
The installations in February 2022 are an improvement over 368.3 MW the agency reported a year back in February 2021, and almost at the same level as in January 2022 when the additions were a total of 419.38 MW (see Germany Installed 419 MW Solar In Jan. 2022). It's likely that the Russian invasion in the Ukraine end of February will show already a demand uptick in March despite shortage of installers and high product prices.
In February 2022, EnBW reported its Gottesgabe and Alttrebbin solar parks, each with 150 MW solar PV and 3.9 MWh storage capacity to have come online, both outside the EEG support scheme (see Europe PV News Snippets).
