  • AI-powered fault detection systems integrated into the production lines identify and correct defects in real time

Premier Energies Limited, a leading Indian solar PV manufacturer, has commissioned its 5.6 GW TOPCon solar PV module manufacturing factory in Telangana, having launched trial production.

Located in Seetharampur in Ranga Reddy District, this factory was commissioned by a group subsidiary, Premier Energies Global Environment Private Limited. It expands the group’s total operational solar module production capacity to 11.1 GW.

Spread across 75 acres, the factory hosts one of the country’s most advanced and highly automated solar module manufacturing lines, says company management. It can roll out 4 G12R TOPCon high-efficiency modules with zero busbar (0BB) technology every 16 seconds, it claims. It had launched the 0BB cell in February this year, soon after commissioning its 400 MW solar cell factory in Telangana (see Premier Energies Launches India’s ‘1st’ Zero Busbar Solar Cell).

The lines are integrated with AI-powered fault detection to correct defects in real time, enhancing module reliability.

“By leveraging advanced technologies and scaling across the value chain—from ingots to modules—we are positioning ourselves to deliver reliable, high-efficiency soluƟons at scale and support India’s clean energy transition,” said Premier Energies Managing Director Chiranjeev Saluja.

The manufacturer is entering into solar wafer manufacturing under a joint venture with Taiwan’s SAS (see Premier Energies, SAS To Set up 2 GW Solar Wafer Unit In India).

Premier Energies Chief Strategy Officer Sudhir Reddy was part of the executive panel discussion at the TaiyangNews Solar Technology Conference India 2026 (STC.I 2026) in February this year (see Integration & Scale Key To Competing In Solar Manufacturing).
