Indian solar PV manufacturer Sahaj Solar has formed a joint venture (JV) with logistics and construction company Clarion Investments LLC for its previously announced 750 MW solar module factory in the UAE.

Both Sahaj Renewable Energy Trading – FZCO and Clarion signed a shareholders’ agreement for a 50:50 share in the JV, Sahaj Energy Solar Panels Manufacturing LLC, on May 18, 2026.

The partners will back the JV’s development of the 750 MW solar panel manufacturing facility to serve both the UAE and global markets. Their target regions include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), as well as the US, calling it the world’s largest renewable energy investment market.

In an announcement, the duo said it will be a state-of-the-art panel manufacturing facility and will combine Sahaj’s solar manufacturing expertise with Clarion’s logistics and manufacturing expertise. Sahaj expects an initial investment of AED 50,000 in the JV.

A publicly listed module manufacturer, Sahaj Solar currently operates 100 MW capacity in Gujarat. It had earlier shared plans to expand by an additional 1.5 GW of capacity, to be deployed in 2 phases of 750 MW each. While it initially planned to deploy 750 MW in India under Phase I, the company management shifted its focus to the UAE to leverage pricing and economic advantages at the global level (see Sahaj Solar Plans 750 MW Solar Module Manufacturing Plant In UAE).

The group also provides EPC services and supplies solar water pumps in India and fast-growing markets in Africa, like Uganda and Zambia. Sahaj is also deploying hybrid solar-battery systems for milk coolers under a partnership with Indian Dairy Machinery Company.

In FY26, Sahaj Solar reported INR 419.2 crore in revenue from operations, reflecting nearly 27% year-on-year growth, attributing it to robust demand and improved execution across projects. Its profit after tax (PAT) rose to INR 29.6 crore from €27.5 crore in FY25.
