CIM commissions 250 MW PV in California: Real estate company CIM Group has commissioned a 250 MW solar project within Westlands Solar Park (WSP) in California, one of the largest permitted solar parks in the US. The 250 MW Aquamarine Solar Project is the 1st utility scale solar project within WSP, according to CIM, and will supply power to the Californian grid, under power purchase agreement (PPA) for renewable energy credits associated with 75 MW to Sacramento Municipal Utility District, 50 MW to Valley Clean Energy Alliance, and 75 MW to the City of Santa Clara, CA (Silicon Valley Power) under power purchase agreement (PPA) signed. The WSP is permitted to host more than 2.7 GW of renewable energy at full build-out, covering over 20,000 acres in San Joaquin Valley in western Fresno and Kings Counties. Power generated here will be used to meet electricity needs of public and private utilities, businesses and other energy consumers.
