Pahal Solar, a rapidly expanding solar PV manufacturer in India, is expanding vertically to meet the growing demand in the domestic market. At the recently concluded Renewable Energy India Expo 2025 (REI 2025), TaiyangNews spoke exclusively with Pahal Solar’s Vice President - Sales: International and Domestic, Nitin Barvaliya, about the company’s strategy moving forward.

Founded in 2016 with a 30 MW solar module manufacturing facility in Surat, Gujarat, Pahal Solar has now expanded its module manufacturing capacity to 2.2 GW and expects to reach 4 GW within the next few months.

Barvaliya shared that his company is also advancing its backward and horizontal integration efforts. It has begun work on a new site that will host 2 GW of solar cell manufacturing and 2 GW of aluminum frame production, also in Gujarat (see India Solar PV News Snippets).

He emphasized that Pahal Solar prioritizes quality, using high-grade materials that ensure consistent performance. For its modules, the company currently uses a 40 mm frame and EPE encapsulant from RenewSys.

At REI 2025, Pahal Solar launched its new G12R series of solar modules, offering 625 W to 650 W output as the starting range. Suitable for the Indian climate, these modules will soon be commercially available.
