Britain headquartered solar power developer Lightsource bp has announced the appointment of Bernardo Goarmon as the group chief financial officer (CFO) who has moved from EDP Renewables North America where was till now the executive vice-president (EVP) finance.
Goarmon comes to Lightsource bp with close to a decade of experience in finance with EDP Renewables, and has also previously worked with the Constellation Energy Group and the BMW Group. He will initially join the company at its San Francisco office and later relocate to the UK to join the London office.
While welcoming Goarmon to the executive leadership team, Lightsource bp Group CEO Nick Boyle said the company is heavily investing in talent as it ramps up its growth plans to achieve 25 GW solar power capacity by 2025, up from more than 5.4 GW currently (see Lightsource BP Targeting 25 GW Solar By 2025).
In 2021 alone, Lightsource bp said it hired 200 new members globally and is recruiting more worldwide.
