Norway-headquartered floating solar PV technology specialist Ocean Sun has announced the appointment of Kristin Husby Mork as the company’s new chief commercial officer (CCO). Her appointment will take effect on April 1, 2025.

Ocean Sun says Mork brings a wealth of experience in commercial strategy, project execution and market positioning, especially in the energy industry.

She most recently worked as the commercial director at energy services provider TechnipFMC for its New Energy Division in Norway. Before that, Mork worked for over 14 years with Equinor in various leadership positions, leaving it in July 2022. This is another in Ocean Sun’s string of senior leadership changes in the last 1 year. In February 2024, it replaced the company’s Founder and CEO Børge Bjørneklett with Kristian Tørvold. Later in August 2024, David Mikal Knutsen and Carl Petter Lehne were appointed as CPO and COO, respectively (see Ocean Sun Expands Senior Leadership Team With 2 New Hires).

Listed on the Euronext Growth Oslo, Ocean Sun has developed a patented technology based on a thin membrane to float customized solar PV modules. It claims overall lowest material usage of any floating PV system enabling the lowest overall LCOE.
