LONGi Announces 26.56% P-Type HJT Cell & 26.09% Indium-Free HJT Cell Efficiency With In-House ‘Mass Production Process Technology’

The world’s largest wafer manufacturer for the solar industry, and cell and module maker LONGi Green Energy Technology has once again announced new world records, this time achieving 26.56% efficiency for its p-type heterojunction (HJT) and 26.09% for indium-free HJT cells.

German technological research institute Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (Fraunhofer ISE) has announced achieving 26% power conversion efficiency for both-sides-contacted silicon solar cells, opening the way for even higher efficiencies to be achieved.
