Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) has opened a call for proposals for 1.5 GW AC Al-Ajban Solar PV Project from companies and consortiums shortlisted under the request for qualification (RFQ) round launched in July 2022 (see RFQ For 1.5 GW Abu Dhabi Solar Project).

Abu Dhabi recently announced official commissioning of the 1.17 GW Noor Abu Dhabi Solar Power Plant in Sweihan. It is now working on a 2 GW solar tender for a plant in the Al Dhafra region for which EWEC has shortlisted 24 companies.
