3SUN showcased its HJT solar modules at Intersolar Europe 2026
The B60 series targets utility-scale and C&I applications, while the B48 LE series is designed for residential and C&I rooftops
Both module series offer 90% bifaciality and are backed by 15-year product and 30-year performance warranties
Heterojunction (HJT) cell and module manufacturer 3SUN showcased its latest solar modules at Intersolar Europe 2026. The company operates a GW-scale manufacturing facility in Catania, Italy, the largest HJT plant operational in Europe.
The company highlighted 2 modules – 3SUNB60 and 3SUNB48 – at Intersolar this year. 3SUN promotes these modules as ‘made in Italy’ products. B60, the first of the two, is designed for utility and commercial & industrial (C&I) applications with a power rating of up to 610 W. The 120 half-cut cell module is built with G12 wafers. The larger-format module measures 2,172 × 1,303 × 35 mm and weighs 36 kg.
3SUN showcased the B48 LE series for residential and C&I applications. Available in power classes ranging from 495 W to 510 W, the module achieves up to 22.3% efficiency. Built with 96 half-cut cells and a glass-glass configuration, the module features a black anodized aluminum frame and is optimized for rooftop installations. It has overall dimensions of 1,754 × 1,303 × 30 mm and a weight of 29 kg.
The 2 mm dual-glass configuration and a 90% bifaciality are common to both modules. They are backed by a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty.
At the TaiyangNews High-Efficiency Solar Technologies 2025 Conference, Marina Foti, Head of Advanced Technology Development, R&D and Technology Transfer at 3SUN, discussed the company's progress in scaling HJT manufacturing in Europe. Beyond its commercial HJT modules, 3SUN is also developing perovskite-silicon tandem cells as part of its next-generation technology roadmap (see 3SUN Scales HJT Manufacturing To GW-Level In Europe).
