Established in 2015, AlphaESS, a Frankfurt-based energy storage solution (ESS) provider, showcased its latest portfolio of ESS solutions at Intersolar Europe 2024. The company, currently with 1,00,000 m²+ factory space and 1,50,000+ ESS installed capacity, claims to have more than 180 patents in the field of energy storage.
Speaking to TaiyangNews, the company highlighted the STORION-G2-H50 series all-in-one hybrid storage system for the commercial and industrial (C&I) application, among other offerings.
Commercial & Industrial (C&I) ESS solution
AlphaESS’s latest STORION-G2-H50 series all-in-one 3-phase hybrid storage system boasts a 50 kW output power. The company noted that its air-cooled model, integrated with a power conditioning unit (PCS), can switch over to UPS mode with the help of an STS switch. According to the demand of C&I customers, this system can be coupled with 2 different types of battery modules – 55.29 kWh storage capacity M7790-S type battery packs or M38210-SC series battery packs of 104.28 kWh. The latter can be expandable up to 209.6 kWh capacity by parallelly connecting two 50 kW hybrid inverters.
For a load of up to 30 kW capacity, AlphaESS’s STORION-G2-H30 series 3-phase system offers energy storage capacities of 34.56 to 55.29 kWh and 64.51 to 96.76 kWh.
Household application
For the balcony PV application, the company promotes the VT1000 VitaPower series 1 kW/1kWh capacity 1-phase hybrid inverter. This commercially available system in the European region, can be expandable to a 2 kW/6kWh storage solution, added the company.
The SMILE-G3 series hybrid storage solution, available in both 1-phase and 3-phase configurations, covers an AC output power range of 3.6 kW to 20 kW. This system, with an energy storage capacity range of 3.8 kWh to 60.5 kWh, is promoted for families and households seeking to optimize their energy expenses. With 3 MPPT channels and up to 200% DC oversizing capability, the storage system ensures high PV power generation. The hybrid inverter’s 30-second 150% overload-withstanding capability in off-grid or UPS mode can ensure the safety of critical household loads during any grid outage, says AlphaESS.
