Key Takeaways
  • ATMOCE showcased its modular AC-coupled battery storage solution for C&I applications at All Energy Australia 2026

  • The BattBank system offers up to 112 kWh per cluster, with capacity expansion in 16 kWh increments

  • The company extended its Australian residential M-ELV Battery warranty to 15 years

Germany-headquartered energy technology company ATMOCE presented its modular battery energy storage solution at All Energy Australia 2026 in Melbourne. The company highlighted its M-ELV BattBank system for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications and announced an extended 15-year warranty for its residential M-ELV Battery.

The M-ELV BattBank uses an AC-coupled, modular architecture with battery-side DC voltage below 60 V. Each cluster can accommodate up to seven battery packs, providing a maximum storage capacity of 112 kWh. According to ATMOCE, the system's energy storage capacity can be increased in 16 kWh increments. The system can also be integrated with existing solar installations.

The company says the battery modules operate independently, enabling the system to continue functioning if an individual module fails. BattBank also supports adjustable charge and discharge rates from 0.25C to 0.5C, making it suitable for applications such as peak shaving and energy shifting.

The BattBank uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and offers an AC round-trip efficiency of over 90%. According to the company's product specifications, the system is rated for 10,000 charge-discharge cycles and features IP66 protection.

The system is also designed for larger C&I installations, including projects with storage capacities exceeding 200 kWh. The company highlighted opportunities under New South Wales' Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS), which provides incentives for eligible business battery installations. According to ATMOCE, eligible projects may receive discounts of approximately 20% to 40%, depending on the installation.

Alongside the C&I storage system, ATMOCE announced an extension of its residential M-ELV Battery (MS-7K-U) warranty in Australia to 15 years. The warranty covers 15 years or 29.2 MWh of energy throughput, whichever comes first, subject to a minimum retained battery state of health of 60%.

The residential battery uses an extra-low-voltage architecture operating below 30 V DC. According to ATMOCE, this approach is designed to reduce risks associated with high-voltage DC systems while supporting flexible integration with residential solar installations.

ATMOCE also presented its AC-coupled battery storage technology at Intersolar Europe 2026, where the company outlined its modular storage approach (see ATMOCE Presents Bidirectional Microinverter And AC-Coupled Battery Systems).
