Key Takeaways
  • DAS Solar showcased its latest DAS-DH96NE (Black Frame) module, offering up to 460 W of power output and 23% efficiency

  • The company presented its DAS-DH132NE large-format UVID-resistant module, certified by TÜV Rheinland

  • It also highlighted its upgraded Diamond series back-contact (DBC) module, delivering up to 480 W of power and 24.8% efficiency

At the recently held Intersolar Europe 2025 exhibition, DAS Solar, a well-known PV cell and module manufacturer, showcased a diverse range of PV modules, including upgraded black-framed models, back-contact modules, and short-side frameless products. The company also unveiled its 630 W UVID-resistant n-type PV module, certified by a third-party agency.

Black Framed Model

Leveraging the latest upgraded TOPCon 5.0 cell technology, which has reached up to 27% mass-scale efficiency, with an open-circuit voltage of 746 mV, the company highlighted its DAS-DH96NE (Black Frame) module. The TOPCon 5.0 cell technology upgrade is based on 5 key innovations, such as rear-side poly finger, nano-contact metallization, high-aspect ratio busbar, edge passivation, and optimized front passivation. This model (black or transparent backsheet version), featuring 96 TOPCon half-cut cells, offers improved performance with a power output of up to 460 W and an efficiency of up to 23%, compared to its dual-glass predecessors, which delivered up to 450 W and 22.5% efficiency. Sized at 1,762 × 1,134 × 30 mm and laminated with front glass and black or transparent backsheet, which is subsequently combined with a black frame, is suitable for Europe’s premium residential and architectural projects.

Large-Size Model

DAS Solar showcased its large-format DAS-DH132NE module, also built on TOPCon 5.0 and featuring an optimized encapsulation film developed in collaboration with Cybrid Technologies. This dual-glass module, incorporating 132 half-cut cells, delivers up to 630 W of power output and 23% efficiency. With dimensions of 2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm and laminated with 2 mm front and rear glass, it is designed for high-performance applications.

To meet the demands of high-UV environments, such as high-altitude or desert regions, this model has been certified by TÜV Rheinland under the 2 PfG 2944/07.23 standard. This testing simulates extreme UV exposure, subjecting the module to 120 kWh/m² front-side and 60 kWh/m² back-side UV irradiation to assess durability in terms of appearance, electrical performance, and safety. Power degradation is required to stay within 3%.

Test results showed degradation of less than 1% under standard test conditions (STC), significantly outperforming the 3% benchmark. This resilience is credited to the stacked film coupling passivation of TOPCon 5.0 cells, utilizing atomic layer deposition (ALD), which reduces UV120 aging losses to below 0.8%, according to the company. The Cybrid-optimized encapsulation further enhances long-term module reliability.

Back-Contact Module

DAS Solar also unveiled its upgraded DAS-DH108TA Diamond series back-contact module. Incorporating DBC 4.0 cell technology, which reaches up to 27.2% efficiency and an open-circuit voltage of 747 mV, this 108 half-cell module delivers up to 480 W of power output and 24.8% efficiency.

Frameless Module

As part of its innovation lineup, DAS Solar introduced a self-cleaning PV module with a short-side frameless design. Though technical details were limited, the company stated this design supports rapid rainwater and dust drainage, even on rooftops with tilt angles as low as 5°, making it ideal for dust-prone regions like southern Europe.

Lightweight Module

Finally, DAS Solar presented a lightweight, glass-free module weighing only 4.7 kg/m². Despite its reduced weight, the module is certified to withstand snow loads of up to 5,400 Pa and wind loads of up to 2,400 Pa, demonstrating robust mechanical strength for diverse installation conditions.
