Austria-based Fronius Solar promoted its latest inverter models, encompassing residential, commercial and industrial application scenarios at Intersolar Europe 2024.
Speaking to TaiyangNews, the company highlighted its latest residential application inverter model among other offerings.
Residential application - GEN 24 Plus 12.0
The company's latest Symo GEN 24 Plus 12.0 SC series 3-phase hybrid inverter, featuring 2 MPPTs, boasts a power output of up to 12 kW and full backup power options for the entire home. The MPPT 1 channel with up to 28 A DC input current carrying capacity, and the MPPT 2 channel with up to 14 A DC input current enable effective accommodation of PV modules which, the company noted, leads to higher PV generation yield. The 150% DC overloading capability of the model also ensures higher generation, added the company. It said that this residential 3-phase hybrid model is commercially available starting July 2024.
Commercial application - Fronius Argeno
The Fronius Argeno inverter, featuring 10 MPPTs of 30 A DC capacity each, delivers a power output of up to 125 kW. This inverter, equipped with 2 strings per MPPT channel and a maximum DC system voltage of 1,100 V, is promoted for commercial applications. The company said this inverter will be commercially available in autumn 2024.
Fronius Verto & Verto Plus
The Fronius Verto series is a flexible string inverter and equipped with 4 MPPTs each with up to 2 string connections. This model delivers an output AC power range of 25 kW to 33 kW. The Verto series has integrated SPDs and AFCI to mitigate the risk of overvoltage and high-voltage arc generation, explained Fronius. This string inverter model is now commercially available, added the company.
Besides the Fronius Verto string inverter series, the company also unveiled the hybrid version based on the Verto platform, called Verto Plus. This model is expected to be commercially available from 2025. The company noted that the Verto Plus model will offer a power output of up to 30 kW.
