FuturaSun’s Wide Array Of Latest Module Offerings At Intersolar Europe 2024

FuturaSun, an Italian photovoltaic (PV) module maker, showcased its latest product offerings at Intersolar Europe 2024. Founded in 2008, the Citadella-headquartered company currently has 1 GW of annual module production capacity in Asia.

Speaking to TaiyangNews, the company highlighted its Silk®-Nova series colored PV modules among other offerings at the show.

Silk® Nova series

The Silk® Nova series n-type monocrystalline cell-based module is available in multiple versions according to their application. The company says that its residential and commercial series has 2 versions – 144 cells and 108 cells. Its 144 half-cell layout design boasts a power output of up to 590 W and an efficiency of 22.84%. The 108 half-cell models deliver a power output of up to 440 W and an efficiency of 22.53%, added the company. The company also has an all-black series named Silk® Nova Duetto All-Black, with an output power of up to 430 W, suitable for residential applications. For ground-mounted applications, FuturaSun’s double-glass Silk® Nova Premium Max Duetto series, featuring a half-cell matrix of 132 cells, delivers up to 700 W output power and a module efficiency of 22.53%. The 2,384 x 1,303 x 35 mm dimension module, featuring 2 mm transparent tempered glass on both front and rear sides, offers enhanced mechanical stability and exceptional weather resistance, added the company.

The company offers 15 years of product and 30 years of performance warranty for these products. These modules are commercially available and on ready stock in Europe. The company shares that the European market will remain in focus but continuous business expansion in continents such as South America and Africa is also going on for this module series.

Silk® Nova Colour Series

Besides the traditional double-glass n-type PV module, the Silk Nova series also offers a green-colored version called the Silk® Nova Green Duetto, with a rated power output of up to 390 W and an efficiency of 19.97%. Equipped with 108 pieces of 182 mm size multi-busbar half-cut cells, the double glass module measures 1,722 x 1,134 x 30 mm. Featuring a green glass (similar to RAL 6000) and an aluminum frame, the company says the module is best suited for “invisible” greenfield installations and PV fences, added the company.

The Silk Nova series is also available in multiple colors – red, silver, and green. The company added that the Silk® Nova Colour series really demonstrates the versatility of PV modules that perfectly blend into the surrounding area, often overcoming landscape constraints in protective areas.

Silk® Rhino

Apart from the colored modules, the company also promoted Silk® Rhino series PV modules, equipped with 2 additional aluminum cross-bars, boasting a high resistance to hail and snow loads. This module, featuring 108 half-cells of 182 mm size, delivers a power output of up to 440 W and an efficiency of 22.53%. The company added that the 1,722 x 1,134 x 30 mm size module has a reduced thermal coefficient of -0.29%/℃. The Silk® Rhino module, featuring extra strong mechanical characteristics, is targeted at markets with extreme weather events like hail storms and areas with high snow loads such as Northern Europe. It is offered with a standard 15 years of product and 25 years of power performance warranty.
