Key Takeaways
  • GoodWe’s OASIS Plus integrates a 91.2 kWp foldable PV array into a 20-foot high-cube container

  • The OASIS Mini offers 5.7 kWp of capacity and can be unfolded or stowed in about 1 minute by 2 people

  • Both systems can be configured with inverters, energy storage and energy management equipment for grid-connected, hybrid and off-grid operation

Chinese inverter and energy storage supplier GoodWe has launched its OASIS series of mobile PV energy stations for temporary, relocatable and off-grid applications.

The OASIS Plus system is designed for islands, remote areas, and regions that need temporary power. It integrates 160 PV modules rated at 570 W each into a 20-foot high-cube container, providing 91.2 kWp of installed capacity. The complete system weighs around 13 tons. Its foldable array measures approximately 45 m × 11.88 m when deployed and covers about 535 m². Based on site conditions, the module tilt can be adjusted from 0° to 60°.

According to GoodWe, the array takes about 10 minutes to unfold, while the complete system can be deployed by 4 to 6 people in approximately 12 hours. The company’s OASISLIFT elevation system keeps the unfolded array above the ground. According to GoodWe, this reduces ground preparation and civil engineering requirements while leaving usable space beneath the structure. The system has a specified wind-resistance level of 8 when deployed with the required anchoring or counterweighting, and level 12 when folded.

A step-down variant of the range, the OASIS Mini is designed for smaller applications such as campsites, tourism sites, ranches, and distributed power applications. It uses 10 modules, each rated at 570 W, for a total capacity of 5.7 kWp. The aluminum structure weighs approximately 350 kg. GoodWe says 2 people can unfold or pack the unit in about 1 minute. Its adjustable tilt range extends from 15° to 90°.

Both products can be transported and reused at different locations. GoodWe specifies a 25-year design life for both systems.

The PV arrays can be combined with inverters, battery storage and smart energy management equipment according to project requirements. GoodWe says the systems can operate in grid-connected, hybrid or off-grid modes. Where no reliable grid is available, each system can be configured as a microgrid to supply local loads.
