Jerry Sun, Senior Product Promotion Manager, JA Solar listed encapsulation material, thinner ribbon and new structure encapsulation material among factors affecting the reliability of high-power modules. He said TOPCon module reliability has been improved with new encapsulation structure EPE, maintaining the POE film thickness at 150 microns and adapting thinner ribbons (to watch the presentation click on story picture).
He was speaking at the TaiyangNews Reliable PV Module Design Virtual Conference that took place on 14 December 2022. The Conference brought together stakeholders from different parts of the module manufacturing chain to discuss the latest findings on how to make high-quality solar panels that stand the test of time.
