LONGi’s ESG rating has been upgraded for a second consecutive year, this time to level A, by MSCI
The rating agency acknowledged the company’s strong performance in corporate governance, supply chain, labor practices, and responsible sourcing

Leading solar PV maker LONGi has received an ‘A’ rating in the latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) assessment conducted by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), an international rating agency. The company’s ESG score has been upgraded from a BBB rating last year.
The company states that it has been aligning its internal reporting and risk-management methods with global ESG benchmarks, including MSCI and other internationally recognized rating models. MSCI is widely followed in global financial markets for its indices and analytical tools. Its ESG rating system examines how well a company manages long-term risks related to areas like environmental impact, labor practices, supply chain oversight, and corporate governance. Its ratings and reports are commonly referenced by institutional investors when assessing sustainability-related risks.
The latest report notes that corporate governance, supply chain, labor conditions, and sourcing practices are among the areas where LONGi outperformed most of its international peers. For governance, MSCI cites the company’s system of embedding business-ethics compliance across internal processes rather than treating it as a separate function. On the supply chain side, LONGi continues to apply supervisory measures and has extended monitoring to all Tier-1 suppliers. The report also highlights ongoing procurement controls designed to reduce exposure to risks linked to raw-material sourcing.
In addition to the latest MSCI upgrade, LONGi has recorded evaluations from several other rating institutions, including Wind (AA), Sustainalytics (24.5), FTSE4Good (3.8), and CDP’s Water Security category (A-).
