Key Takeaways
  • Risen Energy has launched a new Hyper-ion HJT module with AAA-class anti-glare certification from TÜV Rheinland, targeting glare-sensitive PV applications

  • The module uses 2.0 mm anti-glare front glass and specially treated HJT cells to reduce reflections, achieving a discomfort glare probability of 0.30

  • The module delivers up to 730 W power output and 23.5% efficiency, with 90% ± 5% bifaciality and a -0.24%/°C power temperature coefficient

Chinese solar PV manufacturer Risen Energy has introduced a new anti-glare module under its Hyper-ion HJT product series. The module has received AAA-class anti-glare certification from TÜV Rheinland and targets glare-sensitive applications, especially including airports and highways.

Risen Energy reported a discomfort glare probability (DGP) of 0.30 for the new module, below the AAA classification maximum of 0.35. DGP measures visual discomfort caused by bright light or reflections, with lower values indicating less discomfort. The module's maximum glare luminance was 3,463.94 cd/m², about 83% below the specified limit of 20,000 cd/m². Its all-angle specular reflectance was measured at 0.85% in the visible wavelength range of 380 to 780 nm.

The module uses a dual-layer approach to reduce glare. Its 2.0 mm front glass features a specially developed surface texture that scatters reflected light, reducing mirror-like reflections. Risen Energy says the glass achieves an all-angle diffuse reflectance of more than 95%. At the cell level, the HJT cells receive an anti-reflection and light-absorption treatment to reduce secondary reflections within the module. The design also incorporates 2.0 mm semi-tempered rear glass.

Based on the company’s HJT platform, the module offers a maximum power output of 730 W and an efficiency of 23.5%. It has a bifaciality of 90±5% and a temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C. The module measures 2,384 × 1,303 × 33 mm and comes with a 15-year product warranty.

Risen Energy is also featured in the TaiyangNews TOP SOLAR MODULES October 2026 listing. Its Hyper-ion Pro module, rated at 740 W with 23.8% efficiency, ranks 6th overall and leads the HJT category in both efficiency and power output. The newly launched 730 W anti-glare module extends the company's HJT portfolio to applications where reflected sunlight is a concern.

Application-specific PV modules are receiving increasing attention as manufacturers develop products for different installation environments. This trend was highlighted in the recent TaiyangNews New Solar Modules & Mounting Systems 2026 report and discussed during the TaiyangNews Global PV System Technology Trends – SNEC & Intersolar Product Review conference in July.
